Description

Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Center for Integrative Science Learning camps use a multi-disciplinary approach in science with fun, unconventional approaches led by PBA science professors. June 9 – 13. The theme for this year is Agriculture. In Science Camp, incoming 1st – 5th graders will explore agriculture from the ground up: from soil and water to plants and animals and the nutrients and products they provide. Hands-on activities will include chemistry, macroscopic and microscopic structures, biological life cycles, and applied engineering and physics. Incoming 6th – 12th graders In the Summer Science Institute will explore the anatomy and physiology of plants, using them as models to understand the molecular and classical genetics behind agriculture. Experiments will involve the chemistry and physics of soil and of plant and animal products. Located in West Palm Beach. For more information visit pba.edu/sciencecamp.
