Schools May Not Reopen For Fall. Discover Nexplore’s Learning Virtual & On-site Enrichment Solutions

At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic is having an impact on learning, Nexplore is offering schools and parents a unique opportunity for learning that’s playful, joyful and actively engaging. It has adopted a hybrid model that allows it to offer onsite and virtual services as well as navigate with ease between the two.

Dori Larea, CEO of Nexplore, says that no one knows yet what the future of after school enrichment will look like post COVID-19 but it’s clear that virtual enrichment availability is more essential than ever before.

Virtual or at-home tutoring and enrichment now available

Good news for you parents who are not planning on sending their kids back to school this fall!

Nexplore is now offering tutoring and enrichment services led by COVID tested and trained instructors. The services are available in-person or virtually and with a group minimum of four children and maximum of 10 children.

A minimum of three hours a day starts at $200 a day for the group. The service typically consists of 1.5 hours of tutoring, 30 minutes of P.E. and an hour of STEM and life skills enrichment programs using Nexplore’s valuable hands-on kits.

Nexplore’s mission and vision

Nexplore has over 15 years of experience in offering onsite enrichment programs and its team is comprised of innovators, educators and leaders who are passionate about enhancing children’s lives. Its mission is to offer learning experiences that foster the joy of learning and allow students to discover and explore the passions that drive them to excel.

Virtual enrichment programs

Nexplore incorporates consumable kits into its virtual programs and will ship kits to partner schools or directly to families’ homes. All the virtual classes are run live and delivered via Zoom which is free to download. This helps to create a more hands-on virtual experience where students can interact and remain engaged.

Science and Engineering – Nexplore Makers Club gives students the opportunity to interact with fun Maker kits that enhance mechanical, art and engineering skills. Students experiment and create their own inventions which they can keep and share with family and friends. They experiment with structural design, learn to harness energy to power race cars, design remote-controlled hydraulic arms, and much more.

The Robocoding program introduces students to the fundamentals of robotics and coding. They use award-winning robotics cubes with distinctive functions to create machines that can light up, move, and interact with the world around them. They gain more understanding of how they can combine simple building blocks to perform ever more complex tasks and learn more about fundamental concepts such as inputs, outputs and processing.

Digital tech – The Virtual Reality kit allows students to develop experiences in virtual reality with CoSpaces software that runs on browsers, smartphones and Google Cardboard. For example, they can create a personal 3D museum displaying their family history and use VR goggles to walk through it.

The Game Design kit teaches students Scratch, a virtual programming language suitable for beginner coders. They can develop 2D games to publish online.

A Web Design kit teaches students the basics of building a website from scratch. They learn the two main languages for the web, HTLM and CSS. Using the CodeCademy platform, they create a website all on their own.

Art – Students can release their imaginations and express their creativity with art kits. The Art kit teaches students core artistic techniques and concepts. Fun mixed-media projects are inspired by other cultures and the works of famous artists. With Art Rods students learn the basic of 3D design, sculpting and modeling.

Other programs include Life Skills (Finance, Magic) and Health and Fitness including Zumba and Capoera.

After school programs are more critical than ever at this time. Nexplore’s programs are already offered weekly at more than 300 educational partners across many different states in the U.S. and the fact that it offers both onsite and virtual learning opportunities makes it uniquely poised to make a contribution right now and in the future. It offers hands-on, playful learning that fully engages students and allows them to develop a lifelong passion for learning.
